Introduction
When you put together a presentation, what resources do you find yourself looking for? Much like blog posts, our presentations often include words, images, and even animations if we’re feeling enthusiastic!
If our company doesn’t already have a standard slide deck, we might find ourselves leafing through Microsoft’s slide designs for a design that fits our content, or using Google to find other “Free” slide templates.
The same can be said with pictures. Whether or not your slides benefit from having an additional image or two, it’s always helpful to have a list of websites that provide the crucial resources you need.
Royalty-free Images:
Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash, Vista, FreeImages, Freepik
Each of these websites contain royalty-free stock images, meaning you can use them without paying a cent! Even though they’re free, many of the websites ask that you credit the photographer next to the image — no need to worry, though, they also provide the text to use! The images download with high quality, beautiful colors, and high resolution . If you’d like a to spend money on the image, you can do that as well to license the image! This makes the image more exclusive, since the majority of users prefer to use free (unlicensed) images in their slides.
Professional slide formats:
SlideEgg, SlidesMania, SlidesCarnival, SlidesGo, AllPPT, 24Slides
Full disclosure, many of these websites require you to create a free account before you are able to download the slide templates. However, they do a great job showing you each of the main slide formats before you download, and the downloads are in a Powerpoint (.pptx) file format that you can customize on your local machine! Between these six sites (and there are likely others out there), you have access to hundreds of free non-Microsoft templates to use in your presentation. It’s worth taking the time to find a slide layout that fits your situation!
So what’s the catch?
Okay, so you have all the free high-quality images you could ever want, and you also have a variety of slide templates to use in your next presentation. But why would I share these resources with you, without asking for anything in return? Because I know that in the end, it doesn’t matter. Your slide deck could be impeccable, and have the most stunning images…but the elements just don’t fit together, then the impact of your presentation may be lost entirely!
Think of it like a sports team — historically, the New York Yankees have employed some of the most talented baseball players mankind has ever known. But, there are years when they simply do not win the World Series. Why is this? They simply don’t have that “special ingredient” — the one ingredient that binds the teammates together, and makes the team larger than the sum of it’s parts.
That’s where Present Proper comes in. Whether your presentation is just getting off the ground or in its final stages, Present Proper can give you a non-biased analysis of your slides, your style, and your delivery, and provide the “special ingredient” that brings it all together. If this sounds interesting, visit the Services section on our website and set up a free consultation! We’d love to meet you, and find out how we can help you bring your presentation to the next level.
Present clearly. Present concisely. Present Proper.
